Shear behavior and damage evolution of the interface between rough rock and cemented tailings backfill

The shear behavior of the interface between rock and cemented tailings backfill (CTB) is extremely critical to design stability backfilled underground mined-out areas. corresponding surface damage can be significantly affected by roughness surfaces. In our study, sandstone with same rough were prepared using engraving technology. direct tests on rock-CTB interfaces carried out under four different normal stresses six interfacial strength analyzed. A new criterion was then proposed verified. Our study shows that compressive deformation combined specimen much larger than dilatancy a higher stress. residual less lower does not necessarily increase due large difference CTB. damaged zones, which stress, are roughly concentrated in concave section 2D profiles. established consists basic mechanical morphology parameters easily estimated general laboratory tests. findings obtained from this used quantify effect
